application information

1. Thermal Shutdown The TSD circuit activates at a junction temperature of 160°C and deactivates at 135°C with a hysteresis of 25°C to shut down, the TSD circuit keeps all output drivers off.

2.CH mute function When the mute pin is high, TR Q1 is on and Q2 is off, so the bias circuit is enabled. When the mute pin is low (GND), TR Q1 is off and Q2 is on, so the bias circuit is disabled. In the mute on state, all circuit block regulators except the variable remain off and a low power quiescent state is established. The truth table is as follows;

3. Power saving function When pin 39 is high, TR Q3 is on and Q4 is off, so the bias circuit is enabled. When pin 39 is low (GND), TR Q3 goes off and Q4 is on, so the bias circuit is disabled. In a power saving state, this feature keeps all circuits off and establishes a low power static state. The truth table is as follows;

4. TDS monitoring function Pin22 is a TSD monitor pin, used to detect the state of the TSD block and generate a TSD monitoring signal. Under normal conditions, Q5 is on and Q6 is off. When the TSD block is active Q5 is turned off, so the voltage on pin 22 remains low. The truth table is as follows;

Vref at pin 43 is used to remove the DC component from the input signal and can be set by external circuitry. The voltage gain from VIN to output is as follows In the formula, ∏V only represents the AC component. The total input and output voltage gain is the sum of the input op amp network gain and 18dB. The output stage is a balanced transformerless (BTL) driver. The bias voltage Vp is expressed as:

Rotation direction control Forward and reverse rotation direction is controlled by FWD (pin 16) and REV (pin 17), the input conditions follow;

According to equation (1), Vp (power reference voltage) is about 3.75 volts at PVCc2 = 8V. Motor speed control (when SVCC=PVCC2=8V) maximum torque is obtained when Pi15 (CTL) is turned on. If the voltage on pin 15 (CTL) is 0V, the motor will not work. When the control voltage (pin15) is between 0 and 3.25V, the differential output voltage V(out1, out2) is about 2 times the control voltage. The output gain is 6dB. When the control voltage is greater than 3.25V, the output voltage is limited by saturation at 6.5V due to the output swing.
