Z02205 Modem Controller
Z02205 Modem Controller
PS00 100 0-MOD0599 Type 23 can control the following blacklist parameters: Minimum delay between consecutive dial attempts (seconds) Minimum delay between consecutive dial attempts (seconds) after the number of consecutive dial attempts after the following parameters are applied Maximum number of dial attempts allowed in series Dial attempts Blacklist time (minutes) per series of dial attempts Dynamic Power Management The Z02205 uses a low power sleep mode. In this inside mode, the clock is turned off (effectively stopping the part).
The modem controller software automatically puts the modem's data pump into a power-saving sleep mode.
Not used and not connected. The modem controller software also puts the modem controller to sleep.
if possible. This power saving feature reduces the amount of current used by 8 mA.
This sleep feature is transparent to the operation of the modem, saving approximately 58 mA of power in both cases for the modem data pump and controller to enter sleep state mode.
No characters entered No characters in the input queue The modem controller goes to sleep until an interrupt occurs, eg from a terminal.
Detects phone line loops from the phone line interface.
In sleep mode, the modem controller turns off the main timer interrupt and turns on the ring detect interrupt, leaving the start bit interrupt running - and then stops until the interrupt occurs.
Timing if dial blacklist is enabled in country parameters.
If AT and D3 are set, the modem controller also cannot sleep because the DTR on-off transition cannot wake it.
Functional Description Clock. The Z02205 on-chip oscillator has a high gain, parallel resonant amplifier for connecting to a crystal (XTAL1 is the input and xtal2 is the output). The crystal should be at the cut, 16 MHz max, with a series resistance (rs) less than or equal to 100 ohms when counting from 1 MHz to 16 MHz.
Connect the crystals directly on XTAL1 and XTAL2 using the capacitor values recommended by the supplier.
to the device ground pin to reduce ground noise injection into the oscillator.
Oscillator Configuration
Power-On Reset (POR). A timer circuit, timed by a dedicated onboard RC oscillator, is used for power-up.
Reset (POR) timer function. The PoR time allows the V&& and oscillator circuit to start to stabilize before the instruction is executed.
The POR timer circuit is composed of one of four conditions: power failure to power good state.
Stop mode resume (if bit d5 of SMR is set to 1).
WDT timed out.
Por time is specified as tpor.
