PIC24FJ GU4/GL4 High Memory Low Power MCU Family, PIC24FJ256GL405-I/M4, PIC24FJ128GL406-I/MR
The Microchip PIC24FJ GU4/GL4 microcontroller family offers up to 512 KB of dual-partition flash memory with support for real-time over-the-air updates (OTA) and EEPROM emulation. In addition to several Core Independent Peripherals (CIPs), it includes a full-speed USB and segmented LCD controller with animation support. Featuring high memory and sleep currents down to a few hundred nanoamps while retaining full RAM content, this series is ideal for IoT, industrial, consumer and medical applications.
Powered by the MPLAB® Code Configurator (MCC) tool, development time is greatly reduced by allowing users to configure devices and libraries with just a few clicks. To address growing concerns about security, these MCUs offer hardware security features and security protection schemes that simplify the design of smart, secure, protected and connected applications. These MCUs have protection schemes, such as the Flash one-time programmable (OTP) function provided by ICSP? Write Inhibit, which can configure the entire Flash as OTP memory, and CodeGuard? Flash Security can easily segment the memory and implement access restrictions. These features, along with Microchip's CryptoAuthentication™ chips, enable users to implement security in their applications. With AEC Q100 Grade 1 certification, this series offers extended operating temperatures up to 125°C and is also ideal for automotive and industrial applications. A range of hardware security features in this family facilitates user application compliance with security requirements. The series features a high level of analog integration, simplifying sensor interface and analog measurements while reducing the BoM cost of the overall system. The rich feature set of the new PIC24FJ GU4/GL4 MCU family is ideal for metrology and other handheld animated autonomous LCD applications.
