4kW Bridgeless Totem Pole PFC Evaluation Board TDTTP4000W066C-KIT
TDTTP4000W066C 4 kW Bridgeless Totem Pole Power Factor Correction (PFC) Evaluation Board. The TP65H035G4WS is a diode-less, normally-off Gallium Nitride (GaN) FET with low reverse recovery charge, enabling single-phase AC/DC power conversion efficiencies above 99%. Using Transphorm GaN FETs in the fast switching legs of the circuit and low resistance MOSFETs in the slow switching legs of the circuit can improve performance and efficiency.
The evaluation board integrates a Microchip dsPIC33CK digital signal controller (DSC) board with off-the-shelf pre-programmed firmware backed by Microchip's global technical support team and Transphorm's application support capabilities. With DSC, Microchip's embedded design tools are available free of charge in the intuitive MPLAB® X integrated development environment.
Note: Engineers currently using Transphorm's previous-generation 4 kW totem-pole PFC board, the TDTTP4000W066B-KIT, can also use the pre-programmed dsPIC Power Integration Module (PIM). TDTTP-dsPIC-Converter-Card (Microchip's dsPIC33CK256 PIM) paired to modify older boards.
