The most notable feature of eFuse IC is that it can be reused. Traditional physical fuses such as glass tube fuses and chip fuses actually cut off the power supply line in an overcurrent state to protect the power supply line. Once blown, they need to be replaced. The eFuse IC products use their own lines to cut off the power supply line when an abnormality occurs, which can be reset and reused.

Another big advantage is that eFuse ICs can avoid complex circuit designs and eliminate a certain number of components. Compared to the safety functions guaranteed by discrete components, circuit design can be significantly simplified with a smaller number of components and a smaller board area.

The newly introduced TCKE8xx series improves overcurrent detection accuracy to levels exceeding that of physical fuses, enabling highly reliable line protection. In addition, the eFuse IC provides current clamp mode and voltage clamp mode to prevent overcurrent and overvoltage. By clamping the current and voltage to their rated values, they protect the circuit and maintain power even when overcurrent or overvoltage is applied. The eFuse IC also provides overheat protection and short circuit protection functions, which can immediately cut off the power supply and protect the circuit in the event of severe overheating or accidental short circuit.

The perfect combination of these features enables the series to provide strong protection for electronic equipment such as servers and laptops.
