TPS1663 60 V, 6 A Power Limit eFuse
Texas Instruments' eFuse for hot-swap and power rail protection applications
Image of Texas Instruments' TPS1663 Power-Limited eFuse Texas Instruments' TPS1663 is an easy-to-use positive 60 V, 6 A eFuse with a 31mΩ integrated FET. Protection is provided for the load, the power supply and the eFuse itself, with adjustable features such as precise overcurrent protection, fast short circuit protection, output slew rate control, overvoltage protection (OVP) and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). The device has an adjustable overcurrent function. PGOOD can be used to enable and disable control of the downstream DC/DC converter.
The shutdown pin provides external control for enabling and disabling the internal FET and placing the device in a low current shutdown mode. For system status monitoring and downstream load control, the device provides fault and accurate current monitoring outputs. The MODE pin gives you the flexibility to configure the device between two current-limit fault responses (latch and auto-retry). The device is available in a 4 mm × 4 mm 24-pin VQFN package and is specified over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.
