The VCE20 and VCE40 can be mounted on the PCB via package or open frame options. Its compact design with integrated EMC filter and hold-up capacitor eliminates the need for external components, providing a space-saving solution for Information Technology Equipment (ITE), Internet of Things (IoT), industrial and home applications.

In 20 W and 40 W versions, seven standard single output models are available: 3.3 VDC, 5.0 VDC, 9.0 VDC, 12 VDC, 15 VDC, 24 VDC or 48 VDC. These devices feature a wide continuous input range of 85 VAC to 305 VAC, covering all rated AC inputs from 100 VAC to 277 VAC in a compact design. All models feature overload, overvoltage and short circuit protection.

Typical efficiency for VCE20 and VCE40 is 85%. No-load input power is less than 300 mW. The operating temperature range is -25°C to +70°C, with full power available at +45°C (3.3 V and 5.0 V), +50°C (9.0 V and above). The working height is 5000 m. Estimated time to failure >600k hours (MIL-HDBK-217F, +25°C GB).

Both series have Class II working (no ground) and internal (non-serviceable) 1 A fuse (300 VAC time delay) for input protection. Input to output isolation is 3 kVAC. Standards include: EN55032 Class B for conducted and radiated emissions (no external filter components); Safety approvals: CB IEC60950-1 IEC62368-1 (ITE) IEC60335-1 (household); UL UL62368-1 (ITE); TUV EN62368-1 (ITE).

The standard version is housed in a black plastic case (fully encapsulated). The VCE20 measures 2.60 x 1.3 x 0.92 inches (66.0 mm x 33.0 mm x 23.4 mm). There is also a low cost open frame version indicated by adding -P to the end of the part number. The open frame VCE20 measures 2.50 x 1.2 x 0.86 inches (63.5 mm x 30.5 mm x 21.8 mm). The packaged version of the VCE40 measures 3.46 x 1.5 x 1.12 inches (87.9 mm x 38.1 mm x 28.5 mm) and the open frame version is 3.35 x 1.38 x 1.09 inches (85.0 mm x 35.1 mm x 27.7 mm).
