Image of the Versalogics VL-ESU-5070 Grizzly Server-Class Computer VersaLogics' Grizzly is a rugged Embedded Server Unit (ESU) powered by an Intel® 16-core processor that operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C Full efficiency inside; featuring two 10 Gb Ethernet SFP+ ports, four Gigabit Ethernet ports, up to 128 GB of ECC memory, and Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI 2.0) capabilities. This combination makes it ideal for edge server and HPEC applications that require high-performance processing and high data bandwidth. Additionally, two Mini PCIe™ slots and a PCIe™ x4 M.2 location provide onboard I/O expansion and high-speed/large-capacity onboard storage. Grizzly also includes other interfaces, including USB, serial and digital I/O, and SATA.
Grizzly's high-performance capabilities make it ideal for situations where data collection and processing needs to be kept on-premises for security or latency reasons, or to provide native cloud capabilities. A 16-core processor with up to 128 GB of ECC memory supports the use of a hypervisor to run virtual machines. 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports for ultra-high-speed connectivity. Networks can be created using plug-in copper cables, short-haul fiber optic, or long-haul fiber optic transceivers.
Grizzly is based on the COM Express™ Extended Form Factor, but is delivered as an assembled and tested, production-ready embedded computer. For harsh environments, Grizzly is designed and tested to operate over the full industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) and meets MIL-STD-202H shock and vibration specifications.
VersaLogic's 10+ years of product life support ensures long-term availability. This avoids costly upgrades, redesigns and migrations due to short product life cycles.
