Artesyn's ADO300 series of DC/DC converters measure system power requirements and actively control units

Image of Artesyn Embedded Technologies' ADO300 Series DC/DC Converters Artesyn's ADO300 Series eighth isolated DC/DC converters provide a complete stable press. These converters are rated at 300 W and can deliver up to 300 W with no minimum load requirements. They have an input voltage range of 36 V to 75 V and are primarily designed for standard 48 V power supplies in computing and server applications, as well as regulated 48 V power supplies in communications equipment.

The ADO300 series of isolated digital DC/DC converters support digital control techniques and provide users with a comprehensive solution that provides monitoring and management functions. Monitoring voltage, current, power and temperature enables users to measure the power demand of the system and actively control the unit. These monitoring features can also be configured to generate warnings when shutdown points are approaching, increasing system reliability and uptime. All of these communication, monitoring and control functions are achieved through the industry standard PMBus™ command protocol.

The excellent thermal performance of these single output isolation modules, combined with enhanced pre-bias start-up capability, makes them ideal for use in data processing systems and telecom equipment.

Their open rack designs are optimized for forced air or conduction cooling, or offer aluminum base plate options for enhanced thermal performance.

Artesyn's ADO300 Isolated Digital DC/DC Converters are low profile devices ideal for systems requiring board-to-board spacing; the open-frame model has a mounting height of 0.43" (11 mm), while the baseplate version has a mounting height of 0.52 inches (13.3 mm).

The 1/8-brick and 1/4-brick units follow the industry standard PMBus interface DOSA footprint, giving users the option to extend the application range of their power modules from 300 W to 700 W.
