Seven years ago, MediaTek officially entered the field of ASIC chips with its IP and advanced manufacturing processes accumulated on SoCs. From the 16nm process to 7nm, MediaTek has continued to expand and upgrade its ASIC product line, and officially launched the 7nm process 112G long-range SerDes IP.
At present, whether it is 5G infrastructure construction or cloud data processing, the algorithm and power consumption requirements of the processor are very high, and the data encryption generated between these data transmissions requires a security mechanism to escort. The key technologies in these applications all require advanced manufacturing processes, and high-speed SerDes came into being.
Based on the accumulation of experience in multiple application fields in the past 20 years, it has established core advantages for MediaTek's key technology IP, SerDes, etc. Xu Jingquan said that different chips require different knowledge to be combined, so whoever can provide the most complete, richest and most advanced IP will be the biggest winner in the chip market.

Ookla tests the data transfer speed of smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy S10, Apple iPhone XS, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and other smartphones in 15 countries. The results show that the Mate20 Pro has the fastest network transmission speed in the UK and France, while the iPhone XS has the best network speed in Germany, Japan and Nigeria.
