USB to Ethernet control chip AX88772CLFLQFP64

AX88772CLF USB 2.0 to 10/100M Fast Ethernet Controller

AX88772 Manufacturer: ASIX

AX88772 Package: LQFP64

AX88772 packaging: 2500/pack

AX88772 Model: AX88772CLF

AX88772C is a USB to Ethernet controller chip, and supports Microsoft AOAC (Always On Always Connected), which can add low-cost, small package, high-performance, high-integration, plug-and-play Fast Ethernet connectivity to various applications. It can be used in desktop computers, notebook computers, ultrabooks, computer bases (Cradles/Port replicators/Docking Stations), game consoles, smart home appliances and any embedded system with standard USB ports.

The USB port of the AX88772C conforms to the USB 2.0/1.1 specification, and the Fast Ethernet MAC and PHY are compatible with the IEEE 802.3 and IEEE 802.3u protocols. A microcontroller with a built-in USB Host port can be used with the AX88772C to add twisted pair Fast Ethernet features. In addition, the AX88772C requires only a single 25MHz clock to function properly.

The AX88772C supports many advanced features, including IPv4/IPv6 packet checksum bearer engine, Protocol Offload (ARP & NS), auto-correction of reversed-pair wiring (Auto-MDIX), and IEEE 802.3x/backpressure flow control. AX88772C also supports a variety of power management Wake-on-LAN functions, including receiving magic packets, Microsoft wake-up packets, detecting changes in network connection status, 32 sets of bitmap network remote wake-up modes and wake-up packet indication, etc. Allows the AOAC platform to enter the low-power Connected Standby state, and then wake up with the expected network packet.
