Supply Broadcom Digital RGB, IR and Ambient Light Sensors APDS-9253-001, APDS-9251-001
Broadcom digital RGB, infrared and ambient light sensors convert light intensity into a digital output signal. These sensors use a specially designed matrix of four independent channels, red, green, blue and infrared (RGB + IR). This arrangement allows the sensor to achieve optimal angular response and precise RGB spectral response, with high lux accuracy under a variety of light sources.
Digital RGB, IR, and ambient light sensors support an I2C bus interface and feature programmable interrupt controllers requiring minimal microcontroller (MCU) resources. The device features color detection for applications such as LED RGB backlight control, solid-state lighting, reflective LED color samplers, and fluorescent light color temperature detection. These digital RGB, IR and ambient light sensors can be used to read IR content under certain lighting conditions and use IR detection to detect the type of light source.
