Function description
CPC2400E is a small, full -featured, 2400 Potter module for embedded applications and fully passed the FCC Part 68 certification. CPThe C2400E includes a user -transferred FCC registration number. The final product must display the registration number (more detailed information, see section). This module consists of a data access device (DAA), V.22BIS data pump and microcontroller on a microcontroller on 1.00 inch X.CPC2400E is connected to the tip of the telephone line and ring-shaped lead, which must be made through the approved RJ-11 jack. CPC2400E supports industry standard AT command set (more detailed information, see the AT command set part).
CPC2400E uses a single+5V power supply to supply power to support low -power working mode. When the device is not used, it will automatically enter the sleep mode and minimize the power current. The ringing signal from the telephone line is the power supply (awakening ringtone).
A evaluation board can be used to test CPC2400E. The assessment board includes an RS232 line drive, LED status indicator and a magnifying speaker circuit. When using it with the Evaluation Committee, the CPC2400E also meets the emission test of part 15B of the FCC. For more information about the CPC2400E Evaluation Committee, please contact Claire.
DAA
The DAA part of the CPC2400E is designed to be directly connected to the US PSTN and is managed by FCC. DAA includes circuits for hook switch, ring detection, rotor, wave protection and simulation signal coupling transformer. The DAA circuit provides longitudinal longitudinal raging protection of up to 1000 VRMS. For countries/regions similar to PSTN similar to the United States (Canada, Japan), products using CPC2400E must be submitted to appropriate testing agencies for approval. For more information, please consult Claire.

Design Guide
The following design guide should be followed to ensure the compatibility of part 68 of FCC:
1.cpc2400E , RJ-11 jack and interface circuits must be installed on PCB, and should meet the UL 94V-0 flammable standards.
2. The tip and ring marks from CPC2400E to the RJ11 jack should be at least 1.5 mm (0.06 inches) to prevent breakdown. The minimum width of the trace must be 0.5 mm (.02 inches).
3. Make sure the module is installed on the host system safely. The vibration and fall test will loosen the unstable parts. One of the methods of two fixed modules should be used:(1). Welded to the main PCB. This method is very suitable for the ultimate product in the industrial environment (equipment monitoring, etc.) that may be impacted and vibrated.
(2). Insert to the main PCB. This method is very suitable for the environment where terminal products are not impacted and vibrated, such as in consumer applications (set -top box, etc.).
4. According to the 68th part of FCC, the components used must be able to withstand extreme temperature and humidity.
5. When connecting to PSTN, the host system must use the FCC -approved telephone jack, and must meet the mechanical requirements of part of the FCC 68.3 part of the FC sub -part. For the RJ-11 jack, please refer to the FCC announcement 42269 to obtain the approved supplier list.
6. The provided FCC registration number (including Ren) must be visible to the outside user product. See Section 3.
The FCC rules are prohibited from using the phone that is not compatible with hearing aids in the following positions or applications:
(1), all public or semi -public coin calls or credit card phones.
(2), elevators, highways, tunnels (cars, subways, railways or pedestrians), in emergency cases may be isolated.
(3), the place where the emergency departments (such as fire, police or medical assistants) were installed.
(4), hospital rooms, residential health facilities, nursing homes and prisons.
(5), hearing impaired workstation.
(6), hotel, Moore, apartment lobby; customers to order shops with telephone; call for public transport terminals for taxis or booking accommodation or car rental.
(7), hotel and motel room. At least 10 % of the rooms must be equipped with a hearing aid -compatible phone; or a phone that is compatible with a compatible hearing aid, these telephones will be based onIt is required to provide customers who are damaged.
Application
FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of the CPC2400E in the typical host system application. The host system communicates with CPC2400E through standard V.24 serial interface. For the function description of the pin, please refer to the pin and the definition part. Sending and receiving data are sent through TXD and RXD pins. DCD and-DTR pins are used for shaking hands. The audio output of the speaker can be driven by analog quantity. Silent can be used to enable or disable speakers.
According to the fifth part of the FCC, the iron oxygen magnet bead FB1 and FB2 may be needed to reduce EMI emissions. The value of determining the iron oxygen bead depends entirely on the emissions generated by the end user products.
FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of the CPC2400E in the independent RS232C configuration. The circuit uses a linear technology LT1181A RS232 line drive. Note that the LT1181A route driver reverses signal. Figure 1 and 2 are for reference only. The accurate component value shall be determined by the user.
When the modem is idle or command, enter the command line from the terminal to the modem. The modem does not execute any command in the command line until the command line ends the character lt; cr gt; The command line is a series of characters, starting with A and T characters, ending with a special tail character, lt; cr gt;. The characters that can be typed before AT will be ignored. The command line contains up to 40 characters after AT, excluding spaces. The modem does not execute any excessive command in the command line.
To show the command line character, please use the E1 command.
After entering the first letters A and T, you can use a special space character to terminate the key incorporation.
You can stop some command lines by type Ctrlx character. The modem returns a normal result code, IG ignores part of the AT command line.
The command line can contain multiple commands one by one. Answers (A), Dial (D), and Local (O) commands usually cause any command in the command line.
The command line executes
The character in the command line executes one at one time. Any accidental character (except the control character) will stop the command line execute and return the error result code. Accidental characters include numbers exceeding the range of acceptable values. All control characters and special characters other than Ctrl-X in the command line (such as lt; cr gt; and lt; bs gt;) will be ignored.
If the numerical parameters are not provided, the parameter is 0. For example, the command atH lt; cr gt; and ATH0 LT; cr gt;
When the modem executes the command line, finally executesThe result code of the command of the line will return to the terminal. If the value of the Switching Smart S register exceeds the acceptable range of the S register, the value of its value is set to the closest allowable value.
Ignore the front guide zero in the numerical parameter, including the S register number. For example, ATS1 u003d 2 and ATS01 u003d 2 are set to S1 S1 to 2.
All digital parameters, including S register numbers, are decimal (10 as a base).
AT command prefix
Each modem command line starts with letters A and T. The modem uses these characters to determine the data rate of the terminal and the puppet verification.
A/Repeat the previous command
Repeat the command in the last command line. Please type the letter A and/instead of A and T.
lt; cr gt; line character
Type this character to end the command line. The value of the character is stored in the S3 register S3. De Fault is 13, ASCII Enter character.
When entering lt; cr gt; character, the modem executes the command in the command line.
Note: The default value in the AT command table is represented by the thick body type.
