The wearable cord is extruded from a TPU material tested to ISO 10993 skin irritation standards and is small, soft and flexible.

The range includes 24 AWG to 32 AWG wire with two-, three- or four-conductor conductors and helical shields, with wire diameters as small as 2.3 mm. These wires use tinned copper conductors with PE insulation. Aramid fiber filler reduces wear between insulators and improves durability and impact resistance. Standard colors include black, white and dark gray. When necessary, sterilization with ethylene oxide or gamma radiation is recommended for these wires.

Audio cable assemblies using Tensility wearable products are available in three- and four-conductor versions. These cables feature gold-plated plugs to ensure the highest quality performance. The TPE overmolding is free of halogens and phthalates, providing a better touch experience for wearable applications.
