The XTR60010 is a family of small form factor high temperature, extended life crystal oscillator drivers with extended functional features designed for extreme reliability applications such as crystal oscillators, clock and time base generators, capable of operating at 2.5V to 5.5V Operating from a supply voltage of V, the XTR60010 crystal oscillator driver can operate with crystals from 32kHz to 25MHz.

Features include selectable prescaler (1/128), programmable divider (1/2/4/8), low power mode operation for low frequency crystals, integrated capacitors for crystals

Load and Standby modes to stop oscillation and set the output buffer to a high-Z state. Using the internal prescaler and divider, a division factor from 1 to 1024 can be obtained.

The internal crystal driver features automatic gain control to accommodate used crystals without customer intervention on some competing products, while special design techniques allow the XTR60010 parts to provide accurate, robust and reliable parts at -60° Full functionality is still achieved in the temperature range of C to +230°C, although operation can be fully achieved up and down this temperature range.

Designed for high reliability, extreme temperature and extended life systems, the XTR60010 is specifically tailored for crystal oscillators, clock generation, clock buffering, frequency division and precision timing applications. Its supply voltage is 2.5V to 5.5V. The crystal is 32kHz to 50MHz.

Several features have been implemented in the XTR60010 to minimize the bill of materials (BoM) and facilitate adoption, such as automatic gain control crystal drivers, monolithic crystal load capacitors, customer selectable and programmable frequency dividers, and more. The XTR60010 reduces area and bill of materials (BoM), adapts to out-of-date crystals without customer intervention, thereby greatly reducing system complexity, cost and development time, greatly accelerating the certification cycle and time-to-market for X-REL's customer-developed products.

Like all other X-REL semiconductor products, the XTR60010 is capable of reliable operation from -60°C to +230°C (5 years at +230°C). The product must be able to operate not only under the application of high temperature environment, but also under the environment where a self-heating device in the system raises the temperature inside the application frame. In addition, all X-REL semiconductor products can also be operated at lower temperatures (such as 100 °C to 200 °C) that extend product life or do not tolerate operational failures. For example, the expected lifetime of X-REL semiconductor components is over 35 years at a junction temperature (Tj) of 150°C for drive operation.
