The high-performance filter series FN 9262 (with fuse holder) and FN 9266 (with double-pole switch) have been developed for applications requiring high attenuation performance. They are enhanced versions of the market proven FN 9260 and FN 9264 filter series. One of the key applications for this filter is the medical market, where it also received additional approvals to make it easier for users to implement in their designs. The FN 9262 B and FN 9266 B (type B) filters meet the insulation requirements of IEC 60601-1 1MOPP (1 patient protection device).

Both filter families outperform the existing filters FN 9260 and FN 9264 over the entire frequency range. The improved performance depends on two key components: advanced core material (common mode performance) and a larger value of X capacitance (differential mode performance).

Housing dimensions are the same as existing series, making filter replacement easy. In addition, the Power Entry Module (PEM) is mechanically compatible with almost all similarly styled products on the market and is identical to the FN 9260 and FN 9264.

With the new model version (FN 9260/2/4/6) and the current attenuation characteristics, this filter family offers a solution for modern medical equipment, household, audio and video equipment. They can also be used in several other applications with similar requirements.

These filters have all required safety approvals (UL 60939-3, CSA C22.2 No. 8, IEC 60939-3 and CQC), are CE marked and compliant with the RoHS II (2015/863) directive.
