TCA6416A Low Voltage 16-Bit I2C and SMBus I/O Expander

The TCA6416A is a 24-pin device that provides a 16-bit general-purpose parallel output/output (I/O) expansion 2C bus (or SMBus) protocol for two-wire bidirectional I. The device operates with a supply voltage of 1.65 V to 5.5 V on the I 2 C bus side (VCCI) and a supply voltage range of 1.65 V to 5.5 V on the P port side (VCCP).

The device supports 100 kHz (standard mode) and 400 kHz (fast mode) clock frequencies. When additional I/O is required for switches, sensors, buttons, LEDs, fans, etc., I/O expanders such as the TCA6416A provide an easy solution.
