The BD71847AMWV integrates the power rails required by the i.MX 8M mini processor and system peripherals. The integrated sequencer is compatible with the power modes supported by the i.MX 8M mini processor, which can significantly reduce development time, reduce size and simplify application design.

The power supply circuit of the BD71847AMWV is specially designed for the power supply system of the i.MX 8M microprocessor series, and integrates six buck converters, six LDOs and control logic, which can provide power for the processor and the required DDR . memory on a single chip. The PMIC has a built-in 1.8 V/3.3 V power switch for SDXC cards, a 32.768 kHz crystal oscillator driver, and various protection circuits such as output short circuit, output overvoltage/overcurrent, and thermal shutdown. Buck conversion efficiencies of 83% to 95% can be achieved for 0.7 V to 3.3 V outputs. The wide input voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V supports a variety of power sources, from battery to USB, making it ideal for i.MX 8M mini applications. With single-sided mounting and a Type-3 PCB, 42 fewer parts are required compared to a discrete solution. This reduces PCB area by up to 42%.
