The AMT31 series is a rugged, high-accuracy encoder that provides standard U/V/W signals for brushless commutated DC motors. This series is designed to overcome a number of challenges encountered in BLDC applications. With its innovative AMT platform, the AMT31 series is less susceptible to contaminants such as dirt, dust and oil, which are often unavoidable with encoders in industrial environments. In addition, the AMT design simplifies the assembly process, eliminating the need to implement back EMF, and can set many parameters, such as the number of poles, commutation angle, and zero position, through the GUI or the encoder serial interface.
