Product introduction

TP4067 is a complete single-cell lithium battery charger, the world's first single-chip with battery positive and negative polarity reverse protection, input power supply reverse polarity protection, compatible with 3mA-600mA charging current. With trickle, constant current, and constant voltage control, the SOT23-6 package and the low number of external components make the TP4067 ideal for portable applications. TP4067 can work with USB power and adapter power.

An external sense resistor and blocking diode are not required due to the use of an internal PMOSFET architecture, coupled with a reverse charge protection circuit. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charge current to limit the die temperature during high power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The full voltage can be divided into four grades: 4.35V, 4.2V, 3.7V, 2.8V. The charge current can be set externally with a resistor. When the battery reaches the preset voltage, the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value, and the TP4067 will automatically terminate the charging.

When the input voltage (AC adapter or USB power supply) is removed, the TP4067 automatically enters a low current state with battery leakage current below 1μA. Other features of the TP4067 include power supply adaptation, undervoltage lockout, automatic recharge and two status pins for indicating end of charge and input voltage access.
