Netease Technology News September 12 news, according to foreign media reports, Apple's September 2019 autumn conference has been settled, and most of the previous rumors have been confirmed at this event. But even so, Apple has many unannounced surprises that could be unveiled at Apple's follow-up event in October.

16-inch MacBook Pro

Traditionally, we don't expect Apple to release a new MacBook Pro in September, or even later this year at all. Apple already upgraded the MacBook Pro with a new processor in May, so unless there's a good reason, Apple probably won't be launching such a new product.

But prominent Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects Apple to finally get rid of the butterfly keyboard that has plagued its laptops for years. Both he and Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman are very adamant that Apple's new laptops will be available in 2019, not delayed until later.

IHS Markit analyst Jeff Lin even thought a new version of the 16-inch MacBook Pro might arrive in September of this year, but now most expect it to debut in October, when Apple will also reveal the new MacBook Pro. iPad and Mac.

New iPad Pro

At the just-concluded event, Apple impressed us with its 10.2-inch, $329 seventh-generation iPad. According to Bloomberg, the iPad Pro is also getting an upgrade this year, and we're expecting faster processors and improved cameras on the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros.

Mac Pro, Pro Display XDR

Since June, Apple's redesigned modular desktop Mac Pro ($6,000+) and its unusually beautiful display, the Pro Display XDR ($5,000), have been rumored to be "available this fall," but we've yet to see them figure. However, Apple could debut at the same time as the new MacBook Pro at its October event.

New Apple TV set-top box

Apple is about to launch its Apple TV Plus subscription service on November 1, not to mention Apple Arade. But the company's flagship Apple TV 4K set-top box is two years old, and Apple is still selling the Apple TV HD set-top box it launched four years ago. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the feature was removed because it didn't meet Apple's efficiency standards. It's possible that Apple could implement such a feature through a software update, but that would require more testing and certification. Apple's 2020 iPhones may be able to achieve that.

Apple Watch sleep tracking

A lot of people were expecting the new flagship Apple Watch to offer new flagship features when it was released, but the Apple Watch Series 5 unveiled on Tuesday made no mention of Apple's rumored sleep tracking feature.

Bloomberg's Gurman initially reported that if the test is successful, Apple will add it to the Apple Watch by 2020. And 9to5Mac's Guilherme Rambo said the feature may be available this week, but Apple may save it for a future WatchOS update.

In the case of iOS 13 and iOS 13.1, Apple recently said that the company prefers to stagger the release of new features across multiple software versions, rather than rolling them out all at once.

The Return of the Fingerprint Reader

Secure logins should be faster on iPhones this year, thanks to what Apple calls a Face ID scanner, which can recognize faces from more angles, for a 30 percent improvement. But if you want to try out the fingerprint sensor to log in, the latest rumor is that Apple will install a fingerprint sensor under the glass screen of the 2020 or 2021 iPhone.

Most of Apple's competitors use the in-display fingerprint sensor, and it's been rumored for years to make its way to the iPhone, but the technology's speed and accuracy of sign-in needs to be improved, so Apple may want the technology to become Used when more mature.

5G iPhone

There are two obvious reasons why Apple may adopt a wait-and-see strategy before adopting 5G cellular:

First, 5G hardly exists yet.

Second, when plans to use Intel's 5G modems failed, Apple had to drastically change its attitude. Apple was reportedly forced to settle all lawsuits with Qualcomm so that it could use Qualcomm as a supplier. This ultimately killed Intel's modem business, which was then acquired by Apple. Perhaps, Apple will launch a 5G iPhone in 2020.
