CNA series low resistance soft termination MLCC, CNA5L1X7R1H225K160AE
The soft-terminated CNA series employs a design philosophy that reduces the amount of soft resin material. The conductive resin electrode layer is laid only at the welding position to absorb the mechanical stress caused by the bending of the board. Lower parasitic resistance and inductance are achieved due to the reduction of soft resin material compared to conventional series.
Low-resistance, soft-terminated MLCCs have the same mechanical properties as traditional soft-terminated series. Typical applications are where the circuit board can bend significantly, including safety/critical automotive applications such as powertrain, suspension, airbag and battery wire applications. Since the soft termination function is a termination technique, TDK can theoretically extend this design technique to its existing capacitance range to achieve a wide capacitance range.
