TMP390 Resistor Programmable Temperature Switch TMP390A3DRLT
The TMP390A is an ultra-low-power dual-channel resistance-programmable temperature transfer switch that supports protection and detection of system thermal events in the range of -50°C to +130°C. The TMP390A provides independent over temperature (hot) and low temperature (cold) detection. The trip temperature (TTRIP) and thermal hysteresis (THYST) options are programmed by two E96 series (1%) standard decimal value resistors on the SETA and SETB pins. Each resistor ranges from 1.05 KΩ to 909 KΩ and represents one of 48 unique values.
The ground resistance value of the SETA input is used to set the TTRIP threshold for Channel A. The ground resistance value of the SETB input is used to set the TTRIP threshold for Channel B and the THYST option of +5°C or +10°C for both channels (to prevent accidental digital output switching). Resistor accuracy has no effect on TTRIP accuracy.
To support customer board level manufacturing, the TMP390 supports a trip test function that activates digital outputs by executing SETA or SETB pins.
