Designed to meet a variety of sensing needs, the E2E NEXT sensor offers 1x, 2x, 3x, and 4x sensing distance in all standard cylindrical proximity sensor sizes. The enhanced sensing range allows the sensor to be installed at greater distances than the intended target. The increased sensing distance reduces the risk of damage to the sensor surface caused by impact from a target object (the most common cause of failure), thereby extending its life. The enhanced sensing distance of the E2E NEXT also facilitates the use of smaller sensors in space-constrained applications, solving previously unsolvable problems. In addition to the remote sensing capabilities of the product line, the sensors are highly environmentally friendly with IP67, IP69K and IP67G protection ratings, ensuring that the sensors will continue to operate in environments with dust, water and oil. Omron has gone beyond IP67G rating and its sensors can withstand more stringent oil immersion tests to avoid failures due to ingress of oil. The PNP version of the E2E NEXT sensor also features IO-Link technology that enables intelligence at the sensor level, providing users with real-time output monitoring and location data. With its extended range, environmental protection and IO-Link functionality, the E2E NEXT series proximity sensors can meet a wide variety of application needs.
