AEAT-7000-1GSD0

The AEAT-7000 is a high-speed, high-resolution absolute encoder module that provides up to 13 bits of absolute positioning information. Its compact and modular form factor makes it ideal for space-constrained applications. The installation process can be simplified by using the calibration tool.

The encoder IC consists of a series of photodiodes, including a detection photodiode channel. Photodetector ICs are used in conjunction with an encoder wheel or encoder disk. The photodiodes are equipped with both high precision amplifiers and additional circuitry. The monitoring channel is used to drive a constant current source for highly directional infrared illumination systems.

Broadcom absolute encoders are position feedback devices that report absolute position information. Absolute encoders can generate unique codes for each position. When the power is turned on, such absolute encoders can work without a homing cycle, even if the shaft is still rotating after the power is turned off. Such absolute encoders from Broadcom use optical technology or Hall effect sensing technology to sense position information.

Absolute encoders are divided into two categories: single-turn encoders and multi-turn encoders. These absolute encoders are available in various resolutions (ie 12, 13, 14, 17 bits). These absolute encoders are compact in size for easier integration into space-constrained applications, including medical, safety, brushless DC motors, and industrial applications.
