The TPS54260 device is a 60V, 2.5A step-down regulator with an integrated high-side MOSFET. It uses current mode control for simple external compensation and flexible component selection. Its low-ripple pulse-skipping mode reduces unloaded regulated output supply current to 138µA. By using the enable pin, when the pin is low, the supply current is turned off

will drop to 1.3µA.

The undervoltage lockout (UVLO) voltage is internally set to

2.5V, but this value can be increased using the enable pin. The output voltage start-up ramp is controlled by the slow-start pin, which can also be configured to control sequencing and tracking. An open-drain power good signal indicates that the output is within 94%_ to 107%_ of its nominal voltage value.

The wide switching frequency range enables optimization of efficiency and size of external components. Frequency foldback and thermal shutdown protect the part from overload conditions.

The TPS54260 is available in a 10-pin thermally enhanced MSOP package and a 10-pin 3mm × 3mm small outline no-lead (SON) PowerPAD package.
