The AD7660 is a 16-bit, 100-gigabit, charge redistribution SAR, analog-to-digital converter, operating from a single 5-volt supply. This part includes an internal conversion clock, error correction circuitry, and serial and parallel system interface ports. The AD7660 is hardware factory calibrated and comprehensively tested to ensure AC parameters such as signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and total harmonic distortion (THD), in addition to the more traditional DC parameters gain, offset and linearity. It uses the high-performance, 0.6-micron CMOS process of analog devices with correspondingly lower cost and is available in the 48-lead LQFP and tiny 48-lead LFCSP, with operation specified from -40∞C to +85∞C.
Product Highlight 1. The AD7660 is a 100ksps, charge redistribution, 16-bit SAR ADC with internal error correction circuitry. 2. The AD7660 has a maximum integral nonlinearity of 3 LSBs with no missing 16-bit codes. 3. Single Supply Operation The AD7660 operates from a single 5V supply and dissipates only 21mW typical. Its power consumption decreases with throughput, e.g., only 21 mW at 100 SPS throughput. It consumes a maximum of 7 MW when powered off. 4. Serial or Parallel Interface Common parallel or 2-wire serial interface arrangement, compatible with 3 V or 5 V logic
