6V-36V, 1A Input, Buck Driver with Hysteresis Control, DC and PWM Dimming Control
Product Description
The MP24893 is a high efficiency buck converter designed in continuous current mode for driving high brightness LEDs from a wide input voltage of 6V to 36V. The MP24893 uses a hysteretic control structure to regulate the high precision LED current through an external high precision GH side current sense resistor. Furthermore, this control scheme provides optimal circuit stabilization and fast response time without loop compensation. Its low 200mV average feedback voltage reduces power losses and increases converter efficiency. The MP24893 implements pulse width modulation and analog dimming via a dimming pin. The MP24893 includes undervoltage lockout, thermal overload protection to prevent damage when the output is overloaded. MP24893 is available in TSOT23-5 and QFN6 packages.

The MP24893 is a hysterical control, step-down easy-to-configure LED driver input ranging from 6V to 36V for various applications. The converter uses a high-side current-sense resistor to sense and regulate the LED current. current induced voltage
Resistance measurement and adjustment within 202mV ± 30mV. Internal 1.275V reference voltage provides 0.2V reference enable part and 1.275V
Pull-up voltage as a current reference. when? ven>0.2V, the comparator output is high and other blocks are enabled. High side resistance, rsense, sense output current. When the switch is on, R2 is shorted and R1 sets the upper limit of the output current. When the switch is open, R1 and R2 set the output current low threshold, and R1 and r2 determine the current hysteresis. Enable control Once the input voltage is applied, the internal 1.275V reference is passed through a pull-up resistor. If the en/dim pin is left open, the IC will automatically start up to maximum brightness. Adding a capacitor to this pin sets the soft-start time here.
Apply 0.2V to 1.25V to the en/dim pin to linearly control the current sense voltage reference from 0 mV to 202mV for analog dimming.
Use 1.25V amplitude PWM dimming to the en/dim pin. Please refer to the section "Selecting the Dimming Control Mode" for a flexible external PWM dimming method. System Soft Start The voltage on the en/dim pin is the inductor current reference. An external capacitor from the en/dim pin to ground provides a soft-start delay. When VIN starts up, the internal voltage source charges the capacitor voltage from 0 volts to 1.25 volts during soft start. Dimming Control MP24893 provides two dimming methods: PWM dimming and DC analog dimming. To use PWM dimming, apply a square wave to the dark/dark pins. To use analog dimming, apply 0.3V to 2.5V DC to this pin.
