The MP157 is a primary side regulator for precise constant voltage (CV) regulation without optocouplers. It supports Buck, Buck-Boost, Boost and Flyback topologies. A 500V MOSFET is integrated in the regulator, so the structure is very simple and low cost to implement. These features make the MP157 an ideal solution for offline low-power applications. Typical applications include home appliances, backup power and industrial controls. MP157 is a green mode operating regulator. As the load decreases, the peak current and switching frequency decrease with the load. Therefore, it still provides excellent efficiency at light load performance, so average better efficiency is achieved. MP157 features various protections like Thermal Shutdown (TSD), VCC Under Voltage Lockout (UVLO), Overload Protection (OLP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), Open Loop Protection. MP157 is available in TSOT23-5 and SOIC8 packages
