Voltage Level Translator TXS0104 This 4-bit non-inverting converter uses two independent configurable power rails. The voltage level translator TXS0104A port is used to track VCCA. VCCA accepts any supply voltage from 1.65 V to 3.6 V. VCCA must be less than or equal to VCCB. The B port is used to track VCCB. VCCB accepts any supply voltage from 2.3 V to 5.5 V. This allows low-voltage bidirectional translation between 1.8-V, 2.5-V, 3.3-V, and 5-V voltage nodes. Voltage Level Translator The TXS0104EPWR device is a non-directional voltage level translator designed to translate logic voltage levels. The A port can accept I/O voltages from 1.65 V to 3.6 V, and the B port can accept I/O voltages from 2.3 V to 5.5 V. The device is a pass-gate structure with an edge rate accelerator (one lens) to increase the overall data rate. The 10-kΩ pull-up resistor, commonly used in open channel applications, has been easily integrated so that an external resistor is not required. Although the device is designed for open drain applications, the device can also translate push-pull CMOS logic outputs
When the output enable (OE) input is low, all outputs are in a high impedance state.
The voltage level translator TXS0104 is designed so that the OE input circuit is provided by VCCA. The voltage level converter TXS0104 should be connected to GND through a pull-down resistor in order to ensure the high impedance state during power-on and power-off; the minimum value of the resistor is determined by the current source capability of the driver.
Every port I/O has an internal 10-kΩ pull-up VCCA resistor, and every B-port I/O has an internal 10-kΩ pull-up VCCB resistor. The voltage level translator TXS0104 output single shot detects rising edges on the A or B port. On the rising edge, a shot turns on the PMOS transistors (T1, T2) for a short time, accelerating the low-to-high transition. Voltage Level Shifter TXS0104
8.3.2 Voltage Level Translator The fall time (tfA, tfB) of the signal required by the TXS0104 input driver depends on the output impedance of the external device driving the data I/Os of the TXS0104E device. Likewise, tPHL and maximum data rate also depend on the output impedance of the external driver. The organization's values, tfB, tPHL, and datasheets for maximum data rates assume an externally driven output impedance of less than 50 Ω
