The LT?1302/LT1302-5 are micropower step-up DC/DC converters that maintain high efficiency over a wide range of output currents. They operate down to 2V and feature automatic switching between burst mode at light loads and current mode at heavy loads. Internal low-loss NPN power switches can handle currents in excess of 2A and switch frequencies up to 400kHz. The quiescent current is only 200µA, which can be further reduced to 15µA off. Available in 8-pin PDIP or 8-pin SO packages, the LT1302/LT1302-5 has the highest switching current rating of any similarly packaged switching regulator on the market today.
