The HMC632LP5(E) is a GaAs InGaP Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor (HBT) MMIC VCO. The HMC632LP5(E) integrates a resonator, a negative resistance device, a varactor diode, and has half-frequency and divide-by-4 outputs. Due to the overall structure of the oscillator, the phase noise performance of the VCO is excellent over temperature, shock and processing. Supply output is +9 dBm typical from a +5V supply voltage. If not needed, the preconditioner and RF/2 functions can be disabled to save current. The VCO is packaged in a lead-free QFN 5x5mm surface mount package and requires no external matching components.
