The AD623 is an integrated single-supply or dual-supply instrumentation amplifier that provides rail-to-rail output swing from a 3 V to 12 V supply voltage. It is programmable through a single gain-setting resistor and follows an 8-pin industry-standard pinout configuration, giving the user exceptional flexibility. When no external resistor is connected, the AD623 is configured in unity gain (G = 1); when connected, the AD623 can be programmed to achieve a gain of up to 1000.

Improving the ac common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) and increasing the gain allows the AD623 to have excellent accuracy; line noise harmonics are suppressed because the CMRR is stable up to 200 Hz. The AD623 has a wide input common-mode range and can amplify signals with common-mode voltages as low as 150 mV below ground. The AD623 operates from bipolar and unipolar power supplies and maintains excellent performance.
