The AM26C31 is a differential line driver with complementary outputs designed to meet TIA/EIA-422-B and ITU (formerly CCITT) requirements. The tri-state outputs have the high current capability to drive balanced lines, such as twisted pair or parallel transmission lines, which provide a high impedance state when powered down. The enable function is common to all four drivers and provides a choice of active high (G) or active low (G) enable input. BiCMOS circuits reduce power consumption without sacrificing speed.
