The DRV 8841 provides an integrated dual H-bridge motor drive solution for printer, scanner and other automation equipment applications. The unit can be used to drive one or two brushed DC motors, bipolar stepper motors or other loads. A simple PWM interface can be easily interfaced with the controller circuit. The output driver block consists of N-channel power MOSFETs configured as an H-bridge. The DRV 8841 provides 2.5A peak or 1.75A rms output current per H-bridge (with proper heat dissipation at 24V, TA=25°C). Provides a low power sleep mode that shuts down internal circuitry for very low quiescent current draw. This sleep mode can be set using the dedicated nSLEEP pin. Internal protection functions are provided for over temperature, over current and under voltage. Fault status is represented by the nFAULT pin.
