The TPS54527 is an adaptive on-time D-CAP2 mode synchronous buck converter. The TPS54527 helps system designers complete power bus regulator sets for various end devices with a cost-effective, low component count, low standby current solution. The main control loop of the TPS54527 uses D-CAP2 mode control, which enables extremely fast transient response without external compensation components. The TPS54527's proprietary circuitry also enables the device to accommodate low equivalent series resistance (ESR) output capacitors such as polymer tantalum solid electrolytic capacitors (POSCAP) or polymer polymer capacitors (SP-CAP), as well as ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors. The device operates from an input voltage between 4.5V and 18V. The output voltage is programmable from 0.76V to 6V. The device also features an adjustable soft-start time. The TPS54527 is available in an 8-pin direct die attach (DDA) package and is designed to operate over the -40°C to 85°C temperature range.
