The LM5575 is an easy-to-use SIMPLE SWITCHER® family of buck regulators that help design engineers design and optimize a robust power supply with a minimum of components. The LM5575 device has an input voltage range of 6 - 75V and outputs 1.5A of continuous current through an internally integrated 330 mΩ N-channel MOSFET. The regulator utilizes an emulated current mode design that provides internal linear regulation and accurate load transient response, easy loop compensation, and does not have the limitations of the low duty cycle of current mode regulators. The operating frequency is adjustable from 50 kHz to 500 kHz for size and efficiency optimization. To reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI), the frequency synchronization pin of the LM5575 allows multiple integrated circuits (ICs) of the LM(2)557X family to be self-synchronized or synchronized to an external clock. The LM5575 guarantees its reliability through cycle-by-cycle current limiting, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, and remote shutdown. The device is available in a power-enhanced TSSOP-16 package with exposed connection pads for thermal dissipation. The WEBENCH™ online design tool provides support for online design of the LM5575.
