Xilinx Interoperability Demonstration

Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF)

Part of 2013 OIF Interoperability—To enable next-generation 100G architectures, Xilinx will demonstrate interoperability between 28.05 Gbps (GTZ) transceivers and Finisar CFP2 optical modules at 27.95 Gbps. The Virtex?-7 H580T FPGA interoperates with the Finisar optical module according to the OIF CEI-28G-VSR implementation protocol, showing the actual integration of the 100G network system.

2013 OIF Interoperability Conference

Under the banner of the Optical Fiber Internet Forum, a number of OIF member companies will present multi-vendor demonstrations at the 2013 OIF Interoperability Conference to realize a new generation of 100G architecture. OIF's physical and link layer demonstrations cover several technologies, including the CEI-28G-VSR chip-to-module interface for CFP2 and QSFP28 plug-in module packages, the CEI-25G-LR backplane application, and for implementing 100G Functional module thermal specification.
