The ADS1291, ADS1292, and ADS1292R are multichannel, simultaneous sampling, 24-bit, delta-sigma (ΔΣ) analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) with built-in programmable gain amplifiers, internal reference, and an on-board oscillator.
The ADS1291, ADS1292, and ADS1292R combine all the features required for portable, low-power medical electrocardiography (ECG), sports, and fitness applications.
With their high level of integration and excellent performance, the ADS1291, ADS1292, and ADS1292R enable the creation of scalable medical instrumentation systems with significantly reduced size, power consumption, and overall cost.
The ADS1291, ADS1292, and ADS1292R have flexible input multiplexers per channel that can be independently connected to internally generated signals for test, temperature, and continuous wire break detection. In addition, any configuration of the input channels can be selected to generate the right leg drive (RLD) output signal. The ADS1291, ADS1292, and ADS1292R operate at data rates up to 8kSPS. Continuous wire break detection is performed internally using the device's internal excitation current sink/source. The ADS1292R version includes a fully integrated respiratory impedance measurement function.
The device is available in a 5mm × 5mm, 32-pin Thin Quad Flat Package (TQFP).
