ADUM3151BRSZ

The digital isolator utilizes Analog Devices' iCoupler technology and is a dedicated SPI isolator. They are small in size, simple in design, fast and have high data integrity. The SPIsolator™ family differs from optocouplers and previous digital isolator solutions by increasing performance and reducing cost while reducing board space by utilizing a single compact form factor.

ADuM3151/3152/3153 Series SPIsolator Digital Isolators, Analog Devices' ADuM3151 / ADuM3152 / ADuM3153 series are 7-channel SPIsolator™ digital isolators optimized for isolated serial peripheral interfaces (SPIs). The ADuM3151/ADuM3152/ADuM3153 SPIsolator™ integrates three auxiliary data channels to reduce size and cost.

Based on Analog Devices, Inc.'s iCoupler™ chip-scale transformer technology, low propagation delays in the CLK, MO/SI, MI/SO, and SS SPI bus signals support SPI clock rates up to 17 MHz. These channels operate with 14 ns propagation delay and 1 ns jitter to optimize SPI timing. The ADuM3151/ADuM3152/ADuM3153 isolators also provide three additional independent low data rate isolation channels with three different combinations of channel orientations. Data in the slow channel will be sampled and serialized to achieve a 250 kbps data rate, with up to 2.5 μs of jitter in the low speed channel.

Suitable applications for this series include industrial programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and sensor isolation.
