The WM8988 is a low power, high quality stereo codec with a fully integrated 2 stereo headphone or line out port interface. Advanced on-chip digital signal processing completes graphic equalizer, 3-D sound enhancement and automatic level control for microphone or line input. The WM8988 can operate as a master or slave device with different master clock frequencies, including 12 or 24 MHz for USB devices, or 256 fs standard frequencies such as 12.288 MHz and 24.576 MHz. Different audio sampling rates such as 96 kHz, 48 kHz, 44.1 kHz, etc. directly generate the autonomous clock without the need for an external PLL.
