The AD976 and AD976A are high-speed, low-power, 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) that operate from a single 5 V supply. The AD976A has a throughput rate of 200 ksps, while the AD976 has a throughput rate of 100 ksps. Each device contains a successive approximation switched capacitor ADC, a 2.5 V internal reference, and a high-speed parallel interface. The maximum power consumption is all 100 mW. The ADC is factory calibrated and all linearity errors are minimized. The analog full-scale input is the standard industry range of ±10 V.
AC parameters such as signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and total harmonic distortion (THD), as well as general parameters such as offset, gain and linearity, are fully tested.
The AD976 and AD976A are fabricated using ADI's proprietary BiCMOS process, combining the advantages of a high-performance bipolar device and a CMOS transistor.
Both are available in ultra-small 28-pin DIP, SSOP and SOIC packages.
