LM313 - Reference Diode

LM113/LM313 Reference Diodes

General Description The LM113/LM313 are temperature compensated, low voltage reference diodes. They feature very tightly regulated operating currents over a wide range in addition to an unusually low breakdown voltage and good temperature stability. Diodes are made by combining transistors and resistors in a monolithic integrated circuit. Therefore, they have the same low noise and long-term stability as modern integrated circuit computing amps. In addition, the output reference voltages only depend on the highly predictable components in the IC, so they can be manufactured and supplied to tight tolerances.

Features Low breakdown voltage: 1.220V
Dynamic impedance 0.3X from 500 mA to 20 mA
Temperature stability typically 1% overb55 §§ç C to 125 range (LM113), 0 C to 70 §§ç (LM313)
Tight tolerance: g5%, g2% or g1%

This reference is characterized in that it recommends the use of bias regulation circuits in low voltage power supplies or battery powered equipment. The fact that the fault voltage is equal to a siliconÐthe energy physical property its bandgap voltageÐmakes many useful temperature, compensation and temperature measurement functions.
