MAX6001 - Low Cost, Low Power, Low Dropout Voltage Reference in SOT23-3 Package
General description
Packaged in SOT23, the low-cost MAX6001-MAX6005 series series voltage references match the cost-advantage of parallel references and offer the power-saving advantages of a series of references that traditionally cost more. Unlike traditional parallel mode (2-terminal) references that must bias the load current and therefore require an external resistor, these devices eliminate the need for an external resistor for upgrades and supply current to provide a, nearly independent, supply voltage.
These micropower, low dropout, low-cost devices are ideal for high-volume, cost-sensitive 3V and 5V batteryoperated systems requiring very low power dissipation over wide supply voltage variations. Additionally, these devices are internally compensated and do not require an external compensation capacitor, saving valuable board area in space-constrained applications.
