Features ˙ Low voltage operation: as low as 1.24V
˙1% reference voltage tolerance ˙Adjustable output voltage VO=Vref to 12V
˙Reduced operating cathode current...0.50µA ˙0.25Ω typical output impedance ˙Available in SOT-23-3, SOT-23-5 and TO-92 packages
DESCRIPTION The AT431 is a low voltage three terminal adjustable voltage reference with specified over the applicable commercial thermal stability temperature range. The output voltage can be set to any voltage between Vref (1.24V) and 12V value with two external resistors (see Figure 2). When used with an optocoupler, the AT431 is an ideal voltage reference with individual feedback circuits for switching power supplies from 1.8V to 12V. This device has a typical output impedance of 0.20Ω. The active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic that makes the AT431 excellent replacement for low voltage Zener diodes in many applications, including on-board regulation and regulated power supplies.
Applications ˙ Linear Regulators ˙ Supply Voltage Reference Circuits
