General Description The LM136-2.5 IC is a precision 2.5V shunt Zener diode. This monolithic IC operates as a low temperature coefficient 2.5V zener with a dynamic impedance of 0.2 ohms. A third terminal on the LM136-2.5 allows the reference voltage and temperature coefficient to be trimmed easily. The LM136-2.5 is used as a reference value for accurate 2.5V low voltage digital voltmeter, power supply or operational amplifier circuits. A stable reference from a 5V logic supply can be easily obtained at 2.5V. Also, since the LM136-2.5 operates as a shunt regulator, it can be used as a positive or negative voltage reference.
