ICE1QS01-Controller's switching power supply supports low-power standby and power factor correction (PFC)
Functional Description The ICE1QS01 is free-running optimized control with no flyback converter for power factor correction (with PFC charge pump). Its switching frequency is reduced in small steps, reducing standby mode to a minimum load of 20 kHz. This function is powered by a digital circuit to avoid periodic pulses also with any jitter. To provide extremely low power consumption at light loads, the device can be switched to standby burst mode. It is also possible that there is no alternate control signal (adapter application). Also, the current starts to be very low. In order to avoid switching the speaking power device, the power transistor is always turned on at the lowest voltage. The device has several protection functions: overand undervoltage of VCC, power supply undervoltage and current limit. Regulation can be accomplished by using an internal error amplifier or optocoupler feedback. The output driver is ideal for driving power MOSFETs. The ICE1QS01 is suitable for TV stations, DVD sets, SAT receivers and other consumer applications in the power range from 0 to 0 applications. 300 watts...
