HV9100 - High Voltage Switch Mode Controller and MOSFET
General description
The HV9100 is a BiCMOS series/DMOS single-output, PWM chip designed for high-speed high-efficiency switch-mode power supplies through HV9103 by Supertex. They provide all the necessary functionality to implement single-switch current-mode PWM, in any topology, with an external minimum section. Utilizing Supertex's proprietary BiCMOS/DMOS technology results in a device with one-tenth the operating power of a conventional bipolar PWM IC, which can operate at twice the switching frequency. The dynamic adjustment range has also been increased, to about 8 times, similar to the bipolar section. Any direct start between them is 10 DC input voltage and 10 to 120VDC for HV9100 or 10 to 120VDC to 70VDC for HV9102 and HV9103, no external power resistor is required. The output stage for the HV9100 is a 150V, 5.0 Ohm MOSFET, the HV9102 and HV9103 are 200V, 7.0 Ohm MOSFETs. The clock frequency is set with a single external resistor. Accessory features include allowing rapid remote shutdown (latching or non-latching), and undervoltage shutdown.
