DESCRIPTION Fairchild's Power Switch (FPS) product family is specifically designed for off-line switching power supplies with minimal external components. Fairchild's Power Switch (FPS) consists of a high voltage value SenseFET and a current mode PWM IC. Includes PWM controller with integrated fixed oscillator, optimized gate turn-on/turn-off driver with integrated voltage lock, leading edge blanking, thermal shutdown protection, overvoltage protection, temperature compensated precision current source for loop compensation and fault protection circuit. Compared to discrete MOSFET and controller or RCC switching converter solutions, a Fairchild Power Switch (FPS) can reduce total component count, reduce design size and weight while increasing efficiency, productivity and system reliability. It has a basic platform, and a suitable cost-effective LCD power supply.
