FSD200 - Green Mode Fairchild Power Switch (FPSTM)

The FSD200 and FSD210's integrated Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) and Field Effect Transistor sense specially designed high performance offline Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) with minimal external components. Both devices are monolithic high-voltage switching power supplies that combine a voltage-mode PWM control block with a conscious LDMOS FET. Features of the integrated PWM controller include: oscillator with fixed frequency modulation for EMI reduction, low voltage lockout (UVLO) protection, leading edge blanking (LEB), optimized gate turn-on/turnoff driver, thermal shutdown protection (TSD), The temperature compensation loop compensates the precision current source and fault protection circuit. Compared to discrete MOSFET and controller or RCC switching converter solutions, the FSD200 and FSD210 reduce total component count, design size, weight, and at the same time increase efficiency, productivity and system reliability. The FSD200 eliminates the need for an auxiliary bias winding to add power supply at a small cost. These two devices are a base platform ideal for cost-effective designs of flyback converters.
